Born a mere 137 miles away from Minneapolis in a hospital on a road that went uphill both ways in the snow, Silverton grew up playing hockey, eating pickles, and studying metaphysics when the power went out. The interest in metaphysics had nothing to do with his being from Minnesota. Rather, his father was a physics professor at the University of Minnesota, and a young naive Silverton had accidentally mistaken metaphysics for astrophysics when he went to the library one day to study the origins of his father's profession. It ended up being a blessing in disguise. Silverton was childhood BFF's with radio personality Blaze Bronson, and together they became a powerhouse duo of explaining all things unexplainable. Of course, a caffeine addiction soon ripped Blaze's career to shreds, but Silverton pressed on. At the time Silverton said to him, β€œAh heck, I can't go on without ya." But history had other plans. He channelled his loss into a monumental legacy in the pseudo-scientific community. His work inspired countless pop culture icons such as Will the Guy with the Science Lies, and Neil Badass Bryson. Today he works for us doing the exact same thing he used to. He has two forthcoming books he’s working on, one is Paradise for The Modern Mystic, and the other is Dreaming On Purpose. Silverton spends some of his free time in the studio with Tallon Singh working on a music project called The Violet Window.
