DOWN THE HALL

As the east end of the hall you’ll come face to face with a wonderfully unpleasant art installation, Untitled created by Darcy, a Level 2 resident. No part of this installation It should be noted that the Shadows with the red eyes that you see in the back right are not a part of the installation. But don’t worry, nothing you see or hear in this room can hurt you. Okay fine, that’s a lie. The shadows don’t USUALLY hurt anyone. They’re completely harmless as long as Darcy keeps them well fed. What exactly does a shadow eat, you ask? Well, that’s not a question we like to answer. However, I will say, now that they’ve seen you… They might try to follow you. Probably not, though. If anything they’ll just pop into your nightmares every once in a while, or you’ll wake up paralyzed in the middle of the night to find them standing at the foot of your bed. It’s really not a big deal, just ignore them and move on.

We commissioned this piece from Level 5. We feel that it accurately represents what it’s like to see Frank in real life. In fact, a sighting of Frank was reported by The Mistyville Trailblazer just recently. If you don’t know who Frank is then, well… let’s just say he’s not from around here and leave it at that.

Not that WE know where he’s from. We just know that wherever it is, its f—ked up, quite frankly.

What goes on up here?

If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, then this level is for you. Level 5 is inhabited by people dedicated to the study of and/or the experience of fear, which is the second primary force in the human being. Silverton McCord, our resident Modern Mystic, specializes in reducing, transmuting, and redefining it via mystical experience, and the expansion of consciousness. Jennifer Darcy specializes in inducing it via her wild creation “Darcy’s Horse of Horrors”. And Rick Dangerfield studies paranormal and extraterrestrial phenomena in order to discover whether or not there actually is anything out there we should be afraid of.
