WELCOME to

Darcy’s room

Darcy made me promise to tell anyone who enters this room that all the bones are indeed real, and not to f—kin touch them. She claims the dragon skeleton is legit but, we only tested one bone fragment from that—a tooth she reluctantly gave us—and it turned out to be a distal phalanx from the middle phalange of a human being. So, take it all with a grain of salt.

What..? Why are you looking at me like that?? Plenty of normal people use human bones to decorate their rooms. Okay… so maybe Darcy’s not THAT normal. But, she is someone, so… It just goes to show that there are people out there who do it.

The place was Germany, the year was 1994. First Arse was about to rename their band Rammstein. Darcy wasn't there, but it happened. In fact she was only three years old, so it really didn’t matter to her at all. It would be twenty four years until she graced her ears with their great and terrible music, and after that, it’s all she would listen to. She also developed a crippling obsession with B-Grade horror movies, alternate dimensions, and a deeply entrenched belief that the best decade on Earth to date was— and I quote— “The Post-Manson paradise of the 70’s.” This combination made her very abrasive to interact with, and few people could even hold a conversation with her… Or rather… She refused to hold a conversation with anybody other than herself. Fortunately, her conscious decision to treat the world as if it were existing in the wrong decade made her a perfect candidate for Red Rainbow residency. She has a tattoo shop in the building that she sometimes works at and sometimes doesn't; she's a storyteller, graphic novelist, graphic artist, and a graphic person in general, which is why we put her in charge of all our simulated horror realities. They're scary AF.
