What The Future Holds

For Music, Film, and TV

SHELLY- Greetings Stoners, I’m Shelly Stone, and I’m sitting here in the studio with three dapper dans. We’re all here to talk about the future of Music, Film, and Television. On the Music front we have lead singer and guitarist of Relatively Hot Moms, Julian Jackson.

SHELLY- For his extensive Film knowledge, we have cameraman, director, producer, part time pilot, and founder of the GreenSleeves cannabis coffee company, Rollins Thomas.

SHELLY—And lastly, and certainly the highest of the three, we have renowned voice-over artist, and television writer, Blaze Bronson.

SHELLY-Hi guys!

JULIAN
I’d like to be the first to say Shelly that you look ravishing.

SHELLY - Inappropriate.

ROLLINS
As the best looking person in the room, I respectfully disagree.

BLAZE
Say, wasn’t there something you wanted to talk to us about Shelly?

SHELLY - Yes there is. In fact, let’s start with you Blaze, what can people expect in terms of Television entertainment in the future?

BLAZE
Well heck Shelly. That really puts me on the spot, I don’t know. I’ve been working on a script for the second episode of Snowy Mountain Pass, and that’s going to be on television. So I guess, I guess they can expect that. New Episodes of Snowy Mountain Pass will be released every week indefinitely, that much I know for sure. Let’s see… what else…

ROLLINS
I think what Blaze is attempting, well, he’s not even attempting to say it, he’s just babbling on about Snowy Mountain Pass, is that Television… as such… has changed so dramatically that it has become almost unrecognizable. Him and I, we still write our shows, and films—speaking for myself—the old fashioned way. Using our own brains. Most television shows available now are generated entirely by AIRs, or AI’s.

SHELLY — For readers who don’t know about AIRs, they are pseudo-biological, silicone based, Autonomous Intelligent Robots. They require no human maintenance, and are self replicating.

JULIAN
Jeez, way to kill the vibe.

BLAZE
(To Rollins) Tell them about the network…

ROLLINS
Shelly, Blaze would like me to politely inform the reader that there is a television Network, called AIR TV, that allows people to put themselves into any show, with a cast of their choosing. You and your friends and/or family, through the use of technology that evolved out of the DeepFake technology, could be the actors in The Munsters, for example, or Stranger Things, or the Office, or Game of Thrones. Although there have been a lot of divorces over that one. I don’t advise it. Some shows should just die out, lets be honest. And they do this with Film too actually. We offer that service here at the Red Rainbow in fact. Soon we’ll be offering completely customizable Mini-Series, where you choose a variety of parameters… i.e. whether its a comedy or drama, sci-fi or period piece, cast, soundtrack, etc. And the whole show gets made specifically for you. You could make a sitcom out of your own family, let’s say.

JULIAN
Hey Blaze, you should do that.

BLAZE
How’s what?

SHELLY — What about in the field of music, Julian. Have there been similar advancements?

JULIAN
Finally. I’ve been wanting to talk for so long.

SHELLY — Well, nows your chance.

JULIAN
Um, so yeah. There’s been advancements exactly like that, yeah. But I don’t give a shit about em.

SHELLY - Shocking.

JULIAN
I like to make music the same way our forefathers did.

ROLLINS
With flutes and drums?

JULIAN
(Glares) No, from the heart. The human heart Rollins. Blaze knows what I’m talking about.

BLAZE
Yep.

JULIAN
It doesn’t have to be analog. That’s not what I mean at all. Music made on computers is one thing. That’s fine. But Music made by Robots is stupid. They ARE computers. It’s practically just the sound of them thinking.

SHELLY — Some of us find that pretty amazing.

ROLLINS
Well some of us don’t Shelly, get with it.

JULIAN
It’s nice for some things. Adding ambience to an environment, and their EDM is, mind blowing, obviously. But… it’s mostly destroyed music. It’s basically just any noises now qualify as music…

BLAZE
If I could just say one thing… (waits, gets permission) I think that the soundtracks they make are unparalleled Shelly. Heck, just say theres a scene where there are characters walking down the street, walking by a park where people are playing hockey maybe, and maybe the sun is setting, and maybe one character runs up and hugs another, and the soundtrack swells utilizing sounds, and melodies… and waves corresponding to the magnetic field of the human heart when it feels a hug, frequencies matching the light coming from the colors of the sunset, percussion that makes you feel the ice of the rink in your bones, and all in perfect time and sync with what’s happening on the screen. It’s amazing.

ROLLINS
And inside the screen. Let us not forget to mention that you can use our QVR technology here at the Red Rainbow to go into shows and witness a characters point of view in three dimensions. Or just walk around in it while it’s happening.

JULIAN
What the f—k.

SHELLY - And that’s all we have time for today folks! Thanks for reading. Tune in next time.
